Bigbury has been providing a challenge for golfers of all abilities for 85 years. Today, its 18 holes total 6,035 yards for men, 5,544 for ladies. Par is 70 and 73 strokes respectively. The fairways are wide and the greens fast, but club selection is complicated by sea winds and by well placed trees and bunkers.
You can practice your putting on a dedicated green, your short game in the chipping zone and your long game on the full length practice ground.
Bigbury's Head Professional, Tracy Loveys takes the shop and associated activities to a new level.
With all the latest up to date stock and boundless enthusiasm, why not book a lesson with one of the country's leading Ladies Professionals and WPGA member.
Tracy is widely known and respected for her coaching and adopts a friendly and individual approach, whether advising on clothing, clubs or a troublesome swing. The shop incorporates a high-tech workshop and performance centre which means clubs are not merely sold but fitted to size, stance and grip.
Like other golf clubs, we are happy with smart casual wear.
If the style of clothing / shoes can be bought in the Pro Shop then they may be worn on the course. Although we allow smart denim jeans in the Clubhouse, we do not allow them on the golf course. In the Clubhouse please do not wear golf shoes, hats, untailored shorts, general beach wear, collarless tee shirts and non-golf sportswear ie rugby shirts, jogging suits etc.
The picture windows of Bigbury’s Clubhouse make the most of its sea views, with a full-length patio offering the opportunity to sit outside in warmer weather. Its large lounge with a well-stocked bar and wide range of snacks and meals made with fresh local ingredients, provide a comfortable haven after a testing round. There are comprehensive locker-room facilities for both sexes and surfaced car-parking for over 100 cars. The Clubhouse opens from 7.30am where we have provisions for hot drinks during closing hours of our restaurant. We normally close ½ hour after dusk or when the last car leaves the car park, although there are variations* to these times listed below.
The bar opens each day all year round from 11.30am (excludes Christmas and Boxing Day) and finishes serving when the Clubhouse closes. There are many beverages to choose from; beer, lager, real ale, cider and spirits as well as a wide range of soft drinks.
The Restaurant opening times are;
During BST; Monday – Friday 10.00am to 6.00pm
Saturday 09.00am to 6.00pm

Food Allergies & Intolerances. Please contact the Restaurant Manager prior to your visit if you need to know about our ingredients.
Please note, when the course is closed all day the Restaurant and Bar will also be closed.
*Variations to Standard Bar & Catering Hours
Bar and catering hours will be adjusted to suit the course, poor weather conditions, competitions, matches & functions. In addition, when the car park becomes devoid of members cars it is likely that the kitchen and/or Clubhouse will close. If you wish to come to the Club at a time when we may close early due to these conditions, we would strongly recommend you phone first.
