We are delighted that Liz and Howard Turner (The Dinner Service.com @ the 19th) have agreed to be the Club's new resident caterers from 2017.
Liz entered into a chef's apprenticeship with the Roux brothers, working in their pattisserie and at busy restaurant 'Le Gamin' near the Old Bailey. Liz soon out-performed her rivals and landed a role at the Roux's premier restaurant 'La Gavroche', where she worked for two and a half years alongside some now very famous chefs.
Working in these establishments taught Liz the values she still holds dear today: The importance of quality ingredients, presentation, self-motivation and self-belief - 'it's all about the taste!'
Immense care is taken with every event to ensure the food, service and overall experience is perfect.
Liz loves a challenge and some of her regular clients, used to dining in fine restaurants, definitely manage to set her a few!
With over 25 years in the catering industry, The Dinner Service now provides one of the premier catering services in South Devon and now also at Bigbury Golf Club.
Over the years, Liz and Howard have built up an excellent reputation for quality and professionalism within the catering and events industry.
Their expertise will greatly enhance the clubs catering experience.
Specialising in Weddings, Parties, Private dining, Barbecues, Hog Roasts, Society functions and now a Golf themed menu, every care is taken to ensure all ingredients are locally sourced and cooked fresh to order, along with the daily specials board SAMPLE GOLF MENU
Liz also bakes a selection of cakes on site which are extremely popular, especially when taken with a cup of freshly ground local coffee to enjoy in the relaxed Clubhouse environment.
We have also re-introduced our Sunday Lunch service and booking is requested
