Bigbury has a partnership with Ivybridge Community College and we are their home Club for coaching, playing and matches. Several scratch and plus handicap amateurs from the College compete regularly at the Club – a very high standard of golf is on view.
The Professional team at Bigbury is amongst the strongest in the West Region.
Director of Golf Nigel Blenkarne is a Master Professional. He was English Golf Union Regional Coach for 8 years and has worked with hundreds of the best young players including England Internationals and European Tour players.
Tracy Loveys is a PGA ‘AA class’ Professional and is the top female Club Professional in the UK having won the Glenmuir National title for 3 years running. She has a passion for nurturing all junior golfers and has a superb coaching approach.
Completing the team is PGA Trainee Professional Paul Jordan who is very popular with the juniors themselves and acts as the junior advisor for events, coaching and liaison with ‘Team Bigbury’ junior organiser Karen Graddon. Team Bigbury juniors are very active with lots of competitions and matches - more than most other clubs.
Every level of Junior golfer will receive the warmest welcome at Bigbury.
